8 Things Everyone Should Do Before 8 am

Unread post by krangara » Mon Jun 29, 2015 9:17 am

I have read a ton of articles about how to enhance your 'AM Productivity', and have come across each one of the suggestions listed in this article before. BUT the author's clear prose and coherent insights are nonetheless worth reading, absorbing and sharing.

I was not surprised to learn that the writer is a HuffPost columnist. Good quality always sparkles through every word! <3

Here are his eight tips:

a. Get a Healthy 7+ Hours of Sleep
b. Pray and Meditate to Achieve Clarity
c. Get Physically Active
d. Take a Cold Shower
e. Consume High Protein Breakfasts
f. Listen to/Read Uplifting Content
g. Review Your Vision
h. Do ONE Thing Towards Your Goals

I just listened to Elizabeth Gilbert's - the author of Eat, Pray, Love - TED Talk, and those 16 minutes have rejuvenated my motivation to complete the first draft of an article <3

Hope this helps supercharge your mornings...and if you are a night owl, like I am, let's start with NOT snoozing our alarm clock more than 3 times ;)

ENJOY

What smart tips! I think I only did 2 of the 8 but now I am sitting here regrouping for the rest of the day and thinking these are a great way to regroup after lunch too!

Ok, I have begun to hate articles like this because there's just SO many of them. Everyone's got the end all be all cure of do this or do that without the acknowledment that their step by step strategy doesn't work for everyone. On top of that, this writer needs to read Marisa's article about removing "should" from their vocabulary.

Not every tip, trick, resource or hack is for everyone and I avoid these list articles like the plague.

I promise I'm not picking on you Kitty. :)

Hahahhahahaa - yes, there is a glut of such articles!

My point of sharing this was less about 'shoulding the hacks' ;), and more about enjoying the writing! :P

..hence, the disclaimer at the beginning. The author explains his point of view clearly... :D

No offense taken, sweet Lany

Haha! Kitty, I was all sorts of snarky yesterday. I'm glad you can deal with me.

I wonder if there is a way to impress upon writers to steer clear of these "lists of shoulds"?
