Don't use the submit button

Unread post by Lany Sullivan » Sun Oct 11, 2015 7:57 am

When someone lands on your website and they click on your call to action, whether it be signing up for your newsletter or downloading a freebie, you may not want to use SUBMIT on your button. Stephan Hovnanian shares a golden nugget of info of why you want to avoid using certain words on your call to action buttons.

When Stephan mentioned this in passing on the original conversation, I HAD to go back to it. It was such a clear piece of inisght that website owners need. The way he framed it made so much sense.

I know when you go to some site they tend to say something like "get it now". And the most important thing here is when Stephan gives you the question you need to answer to get the best text for your "Submit Button".

I usually can't think of what else you would have other than submit...until I learned the secret. ;-}

I watch YouTube videos.
