Perfect Country Song

Unread post by Sheryl Loch » Fri Aug 07, 2015 2:07 pm

In a thread about Steven Tylers new "country song", Jessica Maynard and I kind of dissed him that he wasn't country unless he mentioned a few things (like drinking...). So here is a real country and western song. It is from WAAAAAAY back in 1975. David Allen Coe nailed it with how a real country song should be.

New "country" song writers need to take heed...this is how it's done!

Oh and if you want to see the New Steven Tyler (fake country) song - 'Love is Your Name' Steven Tyler Goes Country Pop

I watch YouTube videos.

Man oh man! I love old school country. They really knew how to write and sing. This is the country that I grew up with. My dad is a big country guy and I prefer to listen to country over any other kind of music. I'm an unapologetic country girl.

How fun, I love it about the 3:30 minute mark, can we also add using the word "darlin" and a reference to Jesus as a prerequisite for county songs!?!
& I am with you Lany; this reminds me of the records my uncle played when I was at his house when I was a kiddo. Love it!!
