“Courage takes exposing your heart. Vulnerability takes courage.” – Mani Saint Victor
The most striking aspect about Dr. Mani Saint Victor is not that he is a Harvard-trained neuroscientist or that he once appeared in Fast Company’s Top 100 Most Influential People list. It is not that he is a celebrated thought leader or that he is a polymath whose expertise spans multiple disciplines, from neuroscience to biosemiotics to branding to gaming. It is not even that he is transforming the lives of doctors across the world by guiding them to succeed in a rapidly changing digital medical landscape.

The most striking aspect about Dr. Mani Saint Victor is that he is a fascinating human being. Despite possessing a level of intelligence and a list of accomplishments that most people would covet, Mani displays nary a hint of vanity or snobbery. Always present with a wide smile, a wise word and a wholesome wit, he is a generous friend, an attentive mentor and a devoted family man.

Fashioning Lifestyles Around Passions
"Your past thoughts are responsible for your current reality. Choose your present thoughts with purpose and passion." — Dr. Mani Saint Victor

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Haiti, Mani exhibited flashes of his genius in fourth grade when he began making video games using the BASIC computer language on PET machines. As a student of Harvard, he studied under Stephen M. Kosslyn, the father of cognitive neuroscience, and began experimenting with the science of mass interpersonal persuasion.

After graduating with a BA in Biology from Harvard, Mani received his M.D. degree from University Of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, following which he pursued an intense Psychiatry residency at University of Miami, the busiest psychiatric trauma center in the U.S of A. Around this time, he also married his interests in neuroscience, persuasion and gaming to build an enormous virtual community around the Unity game development platform.

Today, Mani spends his days applying the field of neuroscience to solve real world problems. He founded Break the Cage, MD to guide physicians towards embracing entrepreneurship, even if they have no business experience, so they can start enjoying a profitable and pleasurable life now. He is the author of the upcoming book with the eponymous title, Break The Cage, MD: The Physician’s Guide to Transcendental Self Medication.

Dr. Saint Victor is also the co-founder and Chief Neuroscientist of Mindful360, an organization that combines neuroscience, psychiatry, memetics and psychometrics to give brands ‘unprecedented command of consumer minds’ via trailblazing techniques like Mind Engine Optimization.

Better Living Through Science
“Shame and blame are filters that keep you stuck in a rut. They are both examples of situations where ego clouds judgement and distracts from the goal of the collective. They siphon off energy and information that could be used to move the entire species forward.” – Dr. Mani Saint Victor
With extensive experience in psychiatry, pharmacology and trauma care, the Harvard-trained Mani is responsible for several persuasive leadership innovations. His research attracts clients from around the world to actively discover how their minds work and how to think their way to success.

Mani consults with corporate groups and individuals using a non-pathological approach to make them more self-aware of their strengths and resources. Heeding their own psychological profile helps his clients enrich their relationships and engender desired change. Indeed, this remarkable man has brought much-needed science to the fuzzy world of self-improvement, and is equally at ease with everyone, from billionaires to small business owners.

Mani is also a student of hypnotism, a tool that, according to him, has the potential to enable each one of us to do more, be more and have more. Along with Paul Ramsay, the founder of Best Hypnosis Training, Mani has created a groundbreaking approach to hypnotism that augments traditional practices with scientific principles. They host a popular show called Hypnotic Thoughts Web Series in order to share their knowledge about and love for the science behind powerful transformation.

If anyone who can translate intricate scientific concepts into comprehensible social insights, it is Mani. He is committed to making science accessible to all.

Making a Positive Impact, One Person at a Time
“When a habit becomes a drain on productivity or a risk to your career it's time to explore the cause and start thinking of some strategies to replace the behavior with something enjoyable but less likely to sabotage a lifetime of hard work and sacrifice.” – Dr. Mani Saint Victor
Mani’s myriad triumphs and varied talents deserve to be savored and shared. But it’s our friend’s unpretentious and unbiased personality that leaves a legacy. He uses his singular and seminal gifts to spread messages of hope, optimism and kindness every single day.

Blessed with an addictive sense of humor, a head firmly on his shoulders and a heart that brims with compassion, Mani is erudite and encouraging, elegant and engaging, and enthusiastic and empowering.

We are in awe of you, Dr. Saint Victor! Thank you for making this world a better place to live, love and thrive.

What I love about Dr. Mani is that he takes his super smarty pants self and becomes relatable to the common man/woman. His is so brilliant and so friendly. I have met Doctors who think they are better than the rest of us and that is so NOT Dr. Mani. Kitty, I am so glad that you spotlighted him this week. Another beautifully written piece.
