It's really helpful Kitty. Most days I start working at 10am but don't schedule clients before noon if possible. I do make exceptions to that when needed. My first 3 hours of my morning are me time; walking Mika, workout, shower, reading. I don't feel guilty about setting aside time for myself. I also set aside time from 7-10pm to eat dinner, workout and walk Mika again. For business I have blocks of time for meetings, prospecting and RCUW recordings. Every day is not the same, but every week the blocked times are the exact same.

I also used my faithful "Weather App" this morning to know what to wear. I don't really watch TV or local news/weather so that is how I know if it's a summer dress or jeans to work day!

Nice Jess...that's handy! I use a weather app to know when I can take Mika for a walk. We've gotten lots of thunderstorms this summer, so I can't take her every night like I would prefer.

Kitty, the video posted this week with Lisa Mallis on setting boundaries is a great primer on making our time our own, whether for work, pleasure, or the all-important self-care!

So glad you ladies liked it! Regardless, it is a good reminder to maintain boundaries if you've already got them set up.

Jumping in a bit late to this discussion . . . my favorite planner is the Planner Pad. (AND - I totally WISH they had an affiliate program as I recommend it to all my clients that are "paper based"). I also use Drive with my VA for working documents (blog post schedule, checklists and procedures for common tasks, her "to-do's", etc.) AND . . . I use DropBox for sharing files. (I like that better than Drive - as you don't need to upload, you can just work right out of the folder).

I'm going to go check out Planner Pad. I like having a paper planner in conjunction with my Google calendar. I tried going completely digital with my calendar and it didn't work right for me. I need to be able to cross things off my list/calendar. I think I need that physical connection of ticking things off the list. I love drive for collaborative work. It makes life SO simple.

Glad you chimed in here too, Lisa! You and I could go for days on this topic, but that would highly inefficient for both of our schedules....lol!

Our team at Blue Maestro has recently started using SLACK! We have organised it into different treads. The greatest benefit is you can see the conversations tread as well as any documents shared!

I've heard that Slack is really good. I need a bigger team to be able to use it. Now that I know that you use it... I'll be picking your brain when I start using it. :)
