We've all been there, whether it's with the kids, the partner, or just a gorgeous sunrise... You just want to enjoy the moment but something gets in the way.
In my case, there literally was something in my way - a window screen that was making it hard to see the perfect, motionless doe in the backyard.
And that got me thinking about all the filters and barriers we put up between ourselves and the beautiful moments in life. Since my 19-month-old was on my lap, I realized all the ways that I couldn't see my kids because I was staring too hard, looking for what I wanted or needed or expected instead of what was really there.
I'm not usually a "mommy blogger," but there are mothering stories that need to get told, so I have a regular guest post spot on Nessa Knows Best. http://www.nessaknowsbest.com/how-to-ke ... hat-moves/ is the first!
