Evidence that moms really aren't allowed to get sick

Unread post by Marisa Goudy » Sat Jul 11, 2015 12:12 pm

I think I have pneumonia. When I get out of bed to clean up some disaster or chase a toddler or simply look busy because I have one of those "I never stop even when I'm at death's door so I don't understand why you should" husbands (he's a phenomenal guy but how do you rest amidst all that noisy cleaning?), I end up yelling at everyone because I'm so resentful that I don't get to rest.

So, I turned to the mommy blogverse and this was what came up first:

When you're sick, you're supposed to cope by judging an art show, putting on a play, building a fort and, saving the best for last... Playing "what's on my butt?"

Kill me now. There's really no way to make this easy.
