Public Relations Terminology

Unread post by Sheryl Loch » Thu Mar 17, 2016 1:24 am

Every industry has their own terminology that they understand, but sometimes the rest of us are totally lost. This can make it hard for us to read an article or even understand a firm we are working with. We also may feel stupid asking WTH they are talking about.

I found a post that has several words that a PR company may use and the definitions for them (or at least enough to get started on understanding).

So be sure to checkout this list before you lost in the Public Relations world!

The (kinda) definitive A-Z of PR speak

Keep in mind that they are continuing to add to the list!

I watch YouTube videos.

Every industry is like this. When you get into a specific field of business, you start picking up the lingo and you have to remember that not everyone knows what the heck you are talking about. You have to learn the lingo for the industry and then you have to remember to use layman's terms when talking to everyone else.
