Coding Our Future Cuz We Want To

I'm setting off into a whole new scary adventure. I'm going to learn code. Yep. I have virtually no idea what to expect other than God-like powers because that's what I've been told the ability to code brings.

Is this an exaggeration of the male mind trying to dominate the majority who have not yet dived into the "Web creation World," or have we just not asserted our independence yet? If the latter is your answer, why do you think that is?

So many women have an holistic view of topics and solutions which are not altogether realized - unless there is some form of violence or brutality first. I don't understand the benefit this offers to the world. How many mothers settle fights before "father" ever gets home? You think we do this by handing out candy? By our pretty face which our children come to love so much because our beauty overtakes their immature natures? Or better yet - is it because we beat them into submission? No.

Not without exception, women everywhere take the time to instruct and guide in a way in which we code the future. Why then if we teach our young, do we not learn the language we must speak in order to teach our world? And why - if our children are willing students - do we not believe in our ability to guide a nation?

I believe we can code our future. This is my hope: This is where I'll post my progress in learning code. Join with me if you dare. Let's do this thing - and let's do it together!

I applaud your bravado, Kristin, but coding and I get along as beautifully as cats and mice! hehehe

My supreme ability (or lack thereof) to code is best exemplified by the following comment my Professor made after I scored 0 on 5 consecutive coding assignments in college: "Kit, I believe you are talented - but NOT at Computer Science. You should take up a major that fits your aptitude and personality."

He said it kindly - with no malice - and I gleefully bowed away! hehehe

So I shall be cheering you from the sidelines

OODLES of hugs
Kitto

Live without inhibition, love without restriction, laugh without hesitation - you are an inspiration to all! So smile and watch others curve their lips upwards too! ;)

Omgoodness, Kitto! What a fantastic story to tell, though!!! That reminds me of when I auditioned for the Music Theatre Major at Boston Conservatory... I sat down after my two vocal selections across from the judges and only one of them spoke. She came around to the other side of the table and patted my cheek, saying:
"You've got real talent, kiddo. Looking at your other scores here, have you considered applying to the Theatre Dept. or Dance Dept.?"
I was crushed and eventually moved onto BYU. LOL

Good for you to take the advice and use it for your benefit. You're my hero, Kitto!

It's going great, Lany! Thanks!! Other than tonight when I had a few tests open and lost internet connection so I'll need to re-submit - everything has been smooth as a baby's bootie. I L♥ve code!!

OMG! I am in awe! Have you looked at the Stanford University course on coding?

Tech issues, ego issues... yep. Pretty much all issues are loveable when looked at in the right light. :D
