Re: An editorial calendar is nothing; a writer’s practice is everything.

I communicate with potential clients in Australia when I am up at 3am! Probably better to write posts and NOT click send instead though.

Re: An editorial calendar is nothing; a writer’s practice is everything.

That may ton of sense to me, Lany. I've started thinking about using an ed calendar to repurpose content. Thinking one post that's pure inspiration and one that's planned out, drawing on the keyword inspired concepts I need to write more about for search.

An editorial calendar is nothing; a writer’s practice is everything.

There comes a day when you can trust your own experience more than what "they" say. In my case, I trust myself when it comes to writing without the net of an editorial calendar. Ultimately, I work on building a writing practice that encompasses everything from staying open to ideas to making good no...

Re: How does reciprocity look in your life?

Thanks for sharing, Lany. My perspective on reciprocity is rooted in what I've learned in my training as a healer. My mentor, Eleanora Amendolara of the Sacred Center Mystery School - http://www.sacredcenter.net - teaches about ayni , the concept of sacred reciprocity with the earth and all creation...

Re: The word you must cut from your content marketing

Sheryl, Your response proves how subjective language really is. Everyone perceives things based on their own experiences and biases. I don't agree with your interpretations of the off-the-cuff examples I offered above, but that's why we have so many voices approaching similar topics from such differ...

Re: Your dress size is a big fat lie

"2016" - that seems both terribly far away and rather general. So help me if they wait til September... There's only so often an English major who already gets too little sleep should re-read the same books to quell her Droutlander cravings. (I try to quit and then I realize it the only way to turn ...

But if corsets help one Jamie and Claire devotee find another, it's all worth it! <3

Re: Your dress size is a big fat lie

Either way, I'm better the girdle wearers were relieved not to be in corsets. Outlander series fanatic that I am, I always note how horribly restrictive all those undergarments seem to be!

Re: Don't publish that post without this essential element

A few salty stories make every meal more interesting. Just be sure to butter up the readers a little first.

(Sorry, couldn't resist!)

How to keep up when they’ve got the kind of beauty that moves

We've all been there, whether it's with the kids, the partner, or just a gorgeous sunrise... You just want to enjoy the moment but something gets in the way. In my case, there literally was something in my way - a window screen that was making it hard to see the perfect, motionless doe in the backya...

Re: Don't publish that post without this essential element

Sorry to have missed this great conversation - thanks for reading, all! You are all brilliant, multi-faceted women who collect wisdom by the bucket load. You have WAY more to write about than you imagine both in terms of personal stories (that can totally be crafted into useful posts) and Michele's ...

Re: The word you must cut from your content marketing

I don't know that it's a female thing as much as it's a situational thing. My audience is made up of creatives, healers, and therapists, so their readership is really sensitive to "should." Think about the difference between "You should get outside and play with your kids more" versus "Embrace this ...
